Old Rectory House Retreat Catering

£45/person per day

Let us take care of the catering for your retreat which allows you more time for holding space and looking after your guests. We will provide a light breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as complimentary fruit all day. Locally sourced teas and coffee, milk (dairy or plant) are provided. If you would like to self-cater or bring you own chef please see the self-catering page for more details.

We will prepare and cook all the meals and leave them for you and your guests to self-serve (normally in our pantry shop). The food can then be enjoyed in either our woodland banquet hall or the dining room in the retreat cottage. You can choose to use recyclable containers/cutlery - so no washing up. If you wish to use proper crockery/cutlery just pop these in the dishwasher in the retreat cottage ready for the next meal.

Variety is the spice of life. Your 5-a-day is outdated as it falls short of what our bodies require for optimal nutrition. The thinking is now that we should be consuming at least 30 different varieties of plant based foods each week to promote a diverse and healthy gut microbiome. Here at Old Rectory House our retreat catering will offer you this and much more. Our menus are predominantly plant based and includes a huge variety of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. There will also be a big focus on seasonality. Healthy and delicious are not mutually exclusive and we pack all our menus full of flavour.

We can cater for a range of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free. However as we are home cooks preparing the food in our own kitchen we can't cater for extreme allergies as we work in a kitchen that handles nuts, seeds, gluten etc.

We will lay out a breakfast selection in our pantry shop with yoghurt, granola, oats, nuts, seeds and fruit. Your guests will all receive a ‘breakfast jar’ which they can use for the duration of their stay. It’s their responsibility to clean and look after the jar for use again the next day. They have the option to fill their jar with yoghurt, granola, oats, nuts etc the night before (think overnight oats) to take to their accommodation and have in their fridge ready for the next morning. We will also a provide a basket of pastries such as pain au chocolate or croissants (1 per guest each morning). Freshly brewed coffee and tea will also be on offer.

We will be in touch ahead of your retreat to get your guest’s dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances so we can design menus to suit your needs. It’s really important we have this information at least a month before your retreat. Please note these are sample menus and we change the menus with the seasons. We will provide you with our most up to date menu in the run up to your retreat.

As retreats are typically booked well in advance, often over a year ahead, our catering service is subject to change. If there are any significant changes we will contact you directly to discuss them and always offer a suitable alternative.
